Experience the Stories of Downtown Paris!

Step back in time and explore the architectural gems of downtown Paris, Kentucky! From historic taverns and Gothic Revival homes to classic Beaux-Arts and Italianate commercial blocks, this walking tour celebrates the rich history and preservation of Bourbon County’s downtown.

What to Expect:
  • Guided tour of 11 historic stops, including the Hopewell Art Guild, Paris-Bourbon County Library, St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, and concluding at the beautifully renovated Hinton Building / Hotel Thoroughbred.
  • Each stop includes historical insights, architectural highlights, and fun anecdotes – perfect for locals, visitors, and history enthusiasts.
  • Tours are conducted rain or shine; dress comfortably and wear walking shoes.
  • No refunds will be given.
Time Slots:
  • Saturday, October 11th: 10:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m., 4:00 p.m.
  • Sunday, October 12th: 12:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m.
Check-In Instructions:
  • Arrive 10 minutes early at Hopewell Art Guild, 718 Main Street, Paris, KY.
  • Receive your participant sticker to wear during the tour.
  • Tours begin promptly and follow a 1.1-mile loop through downtown Paris.
